How to Date a Man and not Mess it Up ? 8 Powerful Tips

To any woman reading this article, please forgive me if the tips given do not aid you in your interactions with the opposite sex. I’m just a regular guy who happened to have experienced my fair share of women and can give you a general idea on how to date a man. I understand that in a relationship, no matter how brief, both sides play their part. This article shows you how you can play yours in dating a man.

1. Feel comfortable, feel confident

So, you’re on your way to dating your man. Like any other woman, you’ll worry about your appearance. If this man is something special, you’ll be spending the entire afternoon picking out your outfit. This is normal and expected of any woman. You should pick clothes which fit the occasion. If you’re going bowling, wear jeans. If you’re going to a fancy restaurant, wear a dress. Decide whether you want to wear something sexy or decent. The final outcome should be based solely on your personal dressing preferences. Just make sure you’re relaxed and do not wear anything which will make you uncomfortable. If you don’t want to wear heels, wear sneakers.

2. Natural sparkle

Keep makeup to a minimum. Natural beauty is all the rage among people nowadays. The man you’re dating isn’t going out with a heavily made-up version of yourself. He wants to see the face that is hiding behind that inch-thick makeup powder. Use a suitable perfume and don’t spray too much of it. Another important note is not to do the exact opposite. When dating a man, don’t show up with bags under your eyes and your hair tousled like you just got up from bed.

3. Be yourself

When you’re meeting him, you might feel nervous and awkward. This is the time when you feel that you have no idea on how to date a man. These moments are always there and it’s considered normal. They say the more awkward you feel, the stronger your feelings are for each other. Just try to stay calm and be yourself. The main idea is dating someone who clicks with your true self. Don’t be too overwhelming on your first date and respond to his words. Saying ‘thank you’ is more than enough when he comments on your looks.

4. Have lots of fun

To date a man, make sure both of you have fun. Don’t do anything that would be enjoyable to only one of you. If he wants to do something else which you don’t want to, tell him that and suggest an alternative. Make sure there is clear communication between the both of you so there won’t be any arguments later. And don’t be too fussy about keeping him happy. If he’s not enjoying himself, he’ll tell you.

5. Don’t rush for the bed

Now, what you’re about to read next might seem like something that your parents would say, but it is necessary. When you’re dating a man, don’t be in a hurry to sleep with him. If you’re looking for some fun instead of a commitment, then ignore the next few paragraphs. But if you’re looking for a long-term relationship with a decent guy, please read on.

6. Be careful with spikers

Obviously, there are men out there who are just looking for one-night stands and are willing to do anything to just get you in bed. This includes, drugging your drinks, getting you drunk, sweet-talking you and plenty of other methods. This is not the case with most men, but it wouldn’t hurt to take some precautions.

7. You are what you are in

Make sure you dress appropriately. I know women today want to dress to kill, but what you wear reflects who you are. This might sound a bit motherly, but you have to know how to date a man the safest way possible. Dressing provocatively sends the wrong signals to the guy. Also, try not to have too much alcohol. Your date would not want to see the tipsy side of yourself and if he does, he shouldn’t be your date. Like any other woman, you’ll probably want to take him to bed, but save it when you know him a little better.

8. Decide when you should leave

Now this is for those who feel that their date is going to end up horribly wrong. This happens when the man is becoming loud, uncouth and rude. Being a lady, you should probably stick it out to the end. But if he’s being too boozy and abusive, you should definitely leave him and go home. The safest way, if you didn’t bring your car, is to call a cab. If he offers you a ride, don’t accept. He might take you somewhere else. And don’t walk home all alone at night. It’s a good idea to tell someone that you’re going out beforehand and to call when you’re done. At least, someone will know if something goes wrong.

These tips might or might not help you when you’re dating a man. Don’t be too disappointed when the man you’re dating isn’t your type. Just remember to have fun and be yourself.

Four Great Ideas To Go Out For The First Date

It is traditional, first dates are mostly held in a restaurant. It could be dinner or drinks. It is not being on the safe side, it is actually more conducive to first dates. Restaurants are perfect places for conversation, lots of it. You can also impress your date with the choice of restaurant or bar. Dinner will also give the girls an opportunity to dress up and look their most beautiful. Restaurants give the most ample opportunity and ambience to successfully get through the getting-to-know-you stage. However, there are other places where you can have all the descriptions mentioned above as well as have fun.

I. A picnic by the lake

Can you say romantic? Girls will dig this type of dates. Of course, more planning will be required for this. You have to purchase the food yourself. Cheese, bread, wine and fruit are typical yet effective picnic-date food. They can be found in your local supermarket and can cut your budget in half (from what you would have spent in a fancy restaurant). Disadvantages would include an uncooperative weather. Scout the place first and find a firm flat ground. You can also prepare by checking the weather reports for the perfect day. And do inform your date. You might get the knack out of surprising her but I do not think she will be too happy sitting down on a picnic blanket with her new dress of designer.

II. A day at the theme park

You might think that this is a bit childish but what could be more fun than having a blast riding roller coasters and snuggling up in the Ferris wheel? You can impress your date with your shooting skills and maybe win her a stuffed animal as souvenir. Some women may find this a bit unconventional but a day at the theme park will bring out the best of your personalities. You can easily determine if your date is a fun-loving highly-spirited gal. The local theme park or fairgrounds can be a great place for your first date. It is also less expensive than a regular dinner date.

III. A tasteful art film or play

The latest blockbusters may be very appealing. You might even consider a chick flick. But it does not really speak of your personality, does it? Why not take her to the local theatre for a Monty Python movie marathon or a light Shakespearean comedy. After which, you can take her out for a quick drink or a light dinner and talk about what you just saw. It can open a lot about each other or give delightful insights on each other personalities. Your date might even be impressed by your taste and see you in a deeper light, and on your first date at that!

IV. An exotic dinner

Staple French cuisine or gourmet food can be quite impressive on a first date but it can be very predictable and expensive as well. Why not try exotic Mediterranean fare or Indian cuisine? How about a taste of Turkey or hot Thai food? Food can be an adventure for both of you. However, you might need to ask your date first because she might be allergic to some dishes or has an aversion to eating such kind of fares.

Choose the idea you like and have fun on the first date!

Dating Tips: Men, Use The First Date To Get A Second Date

Are you preparing for THE first date? Well, you have to know that a great first date isnâ??t just about nice clothes or a fancy restaurant. Here are some romantic date tips for your first date that would make her hard pressed not to want a second date with you

1. Go do something she hasnâ??t tried before. And before you grin lecherously, it isnâ??t even         related to that. Take her ice-skating somewhere and hold her hand steady to balance           her. Or take her out bowling and teach her how to nail those pins to the floor. Or go mini-     golfing and teach her how to swing nicely so that she will know how to. But make sure that     you are perfectly sensitive to when she is already tired and if she doesnâ??t get the hang of     the activity, donâ??t frustrate her even more by insisting she try harder.

2. Bring out your inner kid and take her to the theme park or carnival. In those places, there     are always a lot of things to do and thereâ??s never a dull moment. Besides, itâ??s not                   everyday that you go to the carnival, right? That is, unless one of you is actually working       there, then try something different. If you arenâ??t, then indulge yourself and enjoy the             rides. And it doesnâ??t hurt too that most of the rides allow you to get close to her.

3. Talk WITH your date. Emphasis on the WITH and donâ??t just babble away. Avoid the â??Me,       Myself, and Iâ? conversations because that would be almost equal to â??jerkâ? in her                     vocabulary. Talk WITH her and ask her some questions about her life and what she likes,     and then reply to what she says.

First Date Questions Answered for Guys

Did you ask a beautiful, stunning and fun lady out on a date?  Great!  The ‘asking’ is often 75% of the battle.  And she said yes?  Wow!  You’re probably pretty excited.  Note however that as the date gets closer, that excitement might start to turn to nerves.

As the date gets closer you’re going to be thinking a lot about how you are going to act, what you are going to wear.  You’ll need to get your car cleaned out and washed.  You might even need a hair cut!  Where are you going to go?

If you have first date questions, here are some things to consider to put your mind at ease and make the actual date fun and relaxed.

- Knowing What You Are Doing Before You Are Doing It

First of all, stick to the original plan.  Don’t spring something on her that wasn’t mentioned in your initial conversation.  Stick to the plan.  Don’t decide to go to a different destination without her knowing about it before that day.  If you do spring something on her, there is a very good chance it could backfire big time.  Little things are ok, but don’t make huge changes.

You don’t know what you want to do and weren’t sure when you last talked to her?  Well, let’s get cracking!  You don’t want to wait until the last minute.  Don’t be afraid to ask her for ideas too. That’s fine.  Why not better the chances of her having a good time.  Remember, this isn’t about you.  If you remember that, you’ll have greater success.  So what’s it going to be?  Are you going to take her to see a film?  To a fancy restaurant?  Maybe a concert to go see her favorite band.

Plan how you are going to both get to the destinations.  Your best bet is to pick her up at her house and take her on the date.  But if there are odd circumstances, no worries.  As long as she’s ok with it and tells you so.

- What Else Do You Have to Think About Before the Date?

Let’s face it, you’re a guy.  Chances are you aren’t going to have the date all planned and be ready for everything days in advance. But try to have the most important things prepared.

Things like funds is an important consideration before that day.  Know about how much this is going to cost you and I’d recommend having at least double that on you and available.  Seriously, you don’t actually know where this date will take you.  Some of the best dates I’ve been on ended up doing some spontaneous thing that cost more money, but made all the difference in it’s success!

And make sure you are showered.  I would recommend no further back then a few hours before the date starts.  Clean yourself up, shave.  Smell nice; no, slapping on a ton of cologne is not the answer.  In fact, my advice is to be mellow with the smells.  Make sure your clothes are ironed.  Those type of things.  If you have to get off work early or make adjustments to your regular schedule to make sure you have enough time to get ready, prepare for that.

- You’re On the Date!

This should be the easy part if you have prepared yourself.  This is where the fun should begin.  Relax and have a good time.  And make her the center of the universe for you that evening.  This show isn’t about you!

Be on time of course.  Don’t keep her waiting for anything.

Ask her about herself.  Women love talking about themselves.  They love talking about what’s going on in their lives, their friends and their family.  Hopefully she’ll ask about what’s going on with you, but don’t force that.  And don’t only talk about you.  Be calm with your conversation.  Pause and give her time to respond.

There will always be awkward moments; no date is perfect.  There will always be pauses in the conversation and one of you is likely to say something slightly embarrassing.  If your first date doesn’t go as planned, don’t panic.  Hopefully, you will have a second chance to make a good impression.
